Homeschool Services

Spruce Grove Public Library is pleased to offer educational support and resources for home educators. The specialized library services that are available to you are outlined below and you can download a PDF of our Resources for Home Educators brochure to share with other parents here.

Library Resources
Whatever subject your child is studying, we can find the information you need! SGPL can help you access the vast collection of books, DVDs, music, and audiobooks both here and throughout the TRAC library system. SGPL’s website provides you with access to reliable academic electronic resources (eResources) such as World Book Online encyclopedias and Mango language learning programs. Visit our eResources page to see all that we have to offer. Our trained library staff can also help you find excellent resources across the internet and recommend books that will keep your kids reading!

Library Programming
Don’t forget to participate in SGPL’s high-quality programs! We have something for all children and youth, from babies through age 17. Our events calendar will let you know about all of the FREE programs that we hope you will join us for.
Tours and Library Use Instruction
Our professional library staff can conduct one-time tours and library use instruction workshops for any age group. To book a tour of the library please fill out this form.
Room Rental
If you have a homeschool group that meets regularly, we offer room rentals at the same rates we charge non-profit groups ($12.50/hour). Booking well in advance is recommended, and a room rental contract must be completed. Please see the Room Rental page for complete details.
