To slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Spruce Grove Public Library is closed, and all programs and room bookings are cancelled until further notice.

  • Due dates will be extended to ensure you are not subject to any overdue fees.
  • We will respond to emails and phone messages as quickly as possible and encourage you to visit our Facebook page for daily service updates.

My book is overdue can I return it?

Yes, If you still wish to return your items, you may use the 24 hr outside book drop. Please note this is not applicable to large items such as the backpacks, sensory items, or kits.

If I returned something that is overdue will I be charged overdue fees?

No, all items will be backdated to the date that we closed, Mar.13/2020, to avoid the accrual of any overdue fines.

My card is about to expire, what should I do?

You can phone us and leave a message or email us and we will contact you about a temporary renewal of your card.

I don’t have a library card. Can I still sign up?

Yes, you can register for a card using online registration. Your temporary card will be good for 3 months and you will have access to eResources with your account

Will I still be able to pick up my holds?

No, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw has prohibited Albertans from visiting libraries in-person under the declared public health state of emergency.

Will I be charged the $2.00 unclaimed fee if I don’t pick up my hold?

No, you will not be charged for the hold unclaimed fee while we remain closed. We are currently working on extending all hold pick up dates so that you will have more time to pick up your items. If you wish to cancel your hold please leave us a phone message or email us.

My account is currently blocked because of fees. Can I make a payment over the phone?

Yes, we can accept credit card payments over the phone to clear up any blocked accounts. Please phone us and leave a message or email us and we will contact you about making a payment on your account. Please do not send us any of personal financial information in advance.
