SGPL Receives Top National Honours

Media Release: Spruce Grove Public Library Awarded Top National Honours for Excellence in Summer Reading Club Programming


June 1, 2018 SPRUCE GROVE The Spruce Grove Public Library (SGPL) is one of the top three libraries in Canada recognized for their excellence in providing summer reading programs to their communities, as announced yesterday in Winnipeg. Along with two Ontario locations, Callander Public Library and Clarington Public Library, SGPL received the English-language award for most innovative and effective TD Summer Reading Club (SRC) programs. This is the second year in a row that SGPL has been recognized placing in the top ten last year.

SGPL was also named the official 2018 TD SRC National Launch-Day Headquarters and will be hosting the “Get your summer read on” celebration at the library (35 Fifth Avenue, Spruce Grove) on June 23 from 11am-3pm.
