Talking Circles Join our Talking Circles as we share various gifts, wisdom, stories and teachings from our local Indigenous community and neighbors. Listen deeply with a profound opportunity to understand, learn and establish a sense of community in a safe sacred space. Gain a mutual understanding of one another regardless of our various backgrounds. Refreshments will be provided.

*The Talking Circle is mostly suited for older children and adults, but all community members are welcome to attend this free event.

AHS Injury Prevention Presentations
Sun Safety
Appropriate for: Children, Teens and Adults
Embrace the summer with some sun safety facts. This presentation will address information such as a) how to properly use sunscreen, b) proper sun attire, c) the differences in UV-Rays and d) the ABCDE’s of early detection for skin cancer.

Older Adult Falls Prevention
Appropriate for: Adults and Older Adults
This interactive workshop will explore factors that increase the risk of falling, provide strategies for reducing falls, and instruct on easy physical activities that anyone can use to build their strength and balance

Dungeons & Dragons Workshop Theme: How to DM.
Want to learn more about Dungeons & Dragons? This is an introductory quick start workshop for aspiring DM's new to Dungeons and Dragons and wanting to learn the first steps of being a Dungeon Master. You will learn the basics of DMing and walk away with some essential tips to begin your next campaign. There's a lot to learn and it can be intimidating. This workshop will help you get started.

Virtual Velykden' - Ukrainian Pioneer Easter
Take a virtual step back in time to learn how Ukrainians in Alberta celebrated Easter 100 years ago, and learn how those traditions continue today. You’ll learn how to make a pysanka, a special decorated egg, and have a chance to interact with our interpreters and ask them questions.
