Print Disabled Assistance

As a public service for our community, we are committed to providing materials accessible to ALL individuals. If you have a print disability (a person who cannot effectively read print because of a visual, physical, perceptual, developmental, cognitive, or learning disability), we have a wide range of large-print books and audiobooks available in multiple formats.

We can also request materials we don’t locally own from other libraries for you. We also are assisted by the following specialist organisations:

CELA is a partner of the CNIB Library and distributes materials to Canadians with print disabilities in physical and electronic formats via their website, public libraries and direct delivery. Use of these services requires registration – click on the CELA banner above to access their website and complete your registration.

NNELS is an electronic service focused on increasing access to accessible materials online for Canadians. They have a wide range of audiobooks and digital books (“eBooks”) available in multiple formats. Registration is also required and you can access their website by clicking on the banner above.

If you would like more information about the services we can provide to you, or assistance in registering for the above services, please do not hesitate to contact us at (780) 962-4423 or
